Amtrak is extending guidance on passenger platform development to communities in Illinois and Iowa where new state supported Amtrak service is planned to begin as early as 2015. Amtrak is providing special focus on development of passenger platforms on the approved Chicago route to Moline, IL. Geneseo is a scheduled stop on that twice-a-day route.
